Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Dino Gambasetty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Curtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henry Curtis struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Dino Gambasetty is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dino Gambasetty! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Henry Curtis! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gambasetty tries to bum rush Curtis with a series of wild strikes but Curtis uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gambasetty shoots in looking for a takedown. Curtis tries to sprawl out of it but Gambasetty keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Curtis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dino Gambasetty seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gambasetty is looking to clinch but Curtis is avoiding it.

Gambasetty cracks Curtis with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Curtis shoots in for a takedown but Gambasetty shows good takedown defense. Curtis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gambasetty circles away. Gambasetty scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Curtisis looking to pass into half guard but Gambasetty pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Gambasetty is in guard. Curtis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gambasetty gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gambasetty wants to control from the top but Curtis keeps moving. Gambasetty postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Gambasetty stuffs the takedown attempt from Curtis. Curtis gets slowly back to his feet. Gambasetty doesn't succeed with the takedown and Curtis counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Gambasetty is pressing down on Curtis's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Gambasetty controls Curtis momentarily but Curtis frees himself. Gambasetty had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Curtis is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Gambasetty Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Curtis's back instead.

Curtis with a flurry of punches that miss. Gambasetty preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Curtis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gambasetty swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gambasetty tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gambasetty is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Curtis has gone for a leg lock! Gambasetty slips out almost immediately though and dives into Curtis's guard. Gambasetty slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Curtis tries to improve position but can't. Curtis is not in a great position here, taking some shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gambasetty tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Curtis is trying to get back to half guard. Gambasetty wants to lay and pray for a moment but Curtis keeps working. Curtis tries to bench press Gambasetty off him but Gambasetty keeps the position. Curtis is not content to let Gambasetty control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gambasetty gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Curtis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Gambasetty's guard now. That's four minutes gone in the round. Curtis throws a strike but Gambasetty rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Curtis keeping moving, preventing Gambasetty from controlling successfully. Curtis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Gambasetty works his way back into a safe position though. Curtis keeping moving, preventing Gambasetty from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gambasetty shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Curtis counters with a nice double leg into guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gambasetty looking to hit a scissor sweep but Curtis is one step ahead there. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Gambasetty bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Curtis's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Henry Curtis dominated that round. That's time! Gambasetty's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Curtis shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Curtis showed some decent athleticism there. Gambasetty keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Gambasetty is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Curtis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Curtis's back! Curtis tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Gambasetty has control of Curtis's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Curtis regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Curtis with a lazy takedown attempt and Gambasetty holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Gambasetty is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Curtis can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
