And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Eremenko closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ramirez is trying to control Eremenko's posture but Eremenko avoids it.

Eremenko wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ramirez, who protects the arm well.

Eremenko is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ramirez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Ramirez is looking to regain half guard here but Eremenko keeps moving and retains side control.
Ramirez wants to control but Eremenko postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramirez is pushing Eremenko's head away, looking to escape. Eremenko manages to hold on to the position though.
Ramirez is trying to control Eremenko's posture but Eremenko avoids it.

Eremenko wants to control his opponent's hands but Ramirez gets his hands free.

Ramirez looking to break Eremenko's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Eremenko remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Ramirez will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Eremenko manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Ramirez wants to get up but he can't break Eremenko's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Eremenko has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ramirez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Eremenko counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Eremenko postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ramirez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Eremenko, into his guard.

Ramirez drops back, looking for a kneebar! Eremenko looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Eremenko looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Eremenko!

Eremenko decides to stand back up. Eremenko steps back and let's Ramirez get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Despite being in the dominant position, Lucio Eremenko just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Well Eremenko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
