Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, John Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bolton gets caught napping as Jackson dives in and scores a takedown. Bolton manages to retain guard.

Jackson won't allow Bolton to sweep him here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bolton pushes Jackson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jackson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Bolton is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Jackson asserts his dominance and retains side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The referee asks Jackson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jackson prefers to stall for the moment though.
Jackson works to advance to full mount. Bolton defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Bolton is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Bolton is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bolton's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Bolton is trying desperately to improve position.
Jackson trying to control but Bolton is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Jackson thows a huge punch but Bolton dodges it nicely.

Bolton makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
John Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson fails with an attempt to clinch.
As Jackson tries to get set, Bolton tries to push him back and clinch up but Jackson manages to avoid the attempt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Bolton misses with a takedown attempt - Jackson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wilmer Bolton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Jackson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

enabling Jackson to counter with a crisp jab.

Jackson instigates a clinch.
Oh Bolton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Jackson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bolton circles away quickly and effectively.

Bolton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jackson defends well and Bolton ends up having to push Jackson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bolton sneaks out the side door and pushes Jackson away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

John Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
