Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alec Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Holt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alec Norris had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alec Norris! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Adam Holt! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Darius Henderson and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Norris has closed the distance and engaged Holt in a clinch.
Norris leaning his opponent against the cage. Holt wants the takedown. Norris is fighting it off but Holt persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Norris's guard against the cage. Holt trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Norris manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Holt has his foot on Norris's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Norris works his way back into a safe position though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Norris throwing strikes from guard but Holt blocks nicely. Holt is trying to hold Norris in close to prevent damage but Norris has managed to pass into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Holt is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Holt manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Norris content to stall in guard here. Holt lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Holt gets to his feet - Norris follows without any prompting. Norris has taken the fight to the clinch.
Norris really is a fat lump. Holt ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Holt no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Holt tries to land a sweep but no joy. Norris slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holt looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Norris passes into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Holt is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Holt is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Norris is controlling him well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Norris grinds an elbow into Holt's temple. Norris working away. Norris wants to control but Holt is keeping him busy. Norris working the head and body with strikes. Norris in side control, just content to control the action for now. Norris landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Holt tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Norris presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Norris tries to control but Holt wriggling away. Norris with shots to the head and body - Holt looks very uncomfortable down there. Norris has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Norris lands a nice shot to the head. Holt wants to hold on but Norris pushes him away. Norris landing strikes, looking to finish! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Holt can't escape the position.

Holt drags the fight down to the ground.
Norris postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Norris trying to control but Holt is working from the bottom. Alec Norris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Holt has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Norris has passed into side control.

Norris landing strikes. Norris is looking to take a break and control but Holt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Holt controlling the position well. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Norris is nestled in close to Holt, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Norris content to control rather than advance. Holt taking some punishment here, with Norris in his half guard. Norris looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Holt with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Holt is looking for a sweep. Norris is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Norris stalling.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Norris blocks a head kick by Holt.
Holt looking to score a takedown here. Norris is defending well but Holt drives through and ends up in Norris's guard. Holt looking to sit in guard and control but Norris gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Norris is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Norris has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Norris working some strikes from top position. Norris trying to control but Holt is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Norris works over Holt with some ground and pound from guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alec Norris dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Holt throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Norris scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Norris postures up in Holt's guard and throws a big left but Holt blocks it. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Norris jumps into side control! Holt is not content to let Norris control the position. Norris connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Holt some visible discomfort.
Norris is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Holt can do to turn this around? Norris controls the position. Norris stands up and we're back to a striking position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Holt shoots in and bounces Norris off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Holt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Norris is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Holt controlling from the top position. Let's hope that Holt has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Norris is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Holt is aware though and is defending well. Norris is pulling down on Holt's head. It's preventing any offense from Holt, at least for the moment. Norris keeping moving, preventing Holt from controlling successfully. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Holt engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Holt throws a head kick but Norris moves out of range.
Norris tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Holt manages to circle out of the way.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Norris gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Norris. Norris misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Holt.
Norris prevents Holt from breaking the clinch. Holt working hard to break the clinch. Norris doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A frustrated look appears on Holt's face as he tries to break the clinch. Holt can't break the clinch.
Norris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Holt gets the takedown into side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Holt tries to advance to mount but Norris instead regains half guard. Holt is looking to take a break and control but Norris is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Alec Norris showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Norris, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
