The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vettenranta fails with the takedown
and Boaz counters with a nice uppercut.
Horrible takedown attempt by Vettenranta or perhaps it was just good defense by Boaz, which made it look bad.
Boaz throws a big counter combination but Vettenranta scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Vettenranta shoots for a takedown but Boaz saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Boaz swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Filipe Boaz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaleva Vettenranta.
Vettenranta misses with a takedown attempt - Boaz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Boaz went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
