Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Gordon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Seamus O Halloran!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Halloran takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Gordon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but O Halloran was well out of range. Poor timing from Gordon.
Some wild striking there from Gordon.
Gordon swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gordon cracks O Halloran with an open hand slap.
Gordon throws a shot from downtown. O Halloran moves away and avoids it.
O Halloran thuds his right hand into Gordon's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Gordon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but O Halloran moves away.
Gordon slips a straight right by O Halloran.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gordon waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract O Halloran.
O Halloran tries to counter with a clinch but Gordon shakes him off and moves away.
Gordon wants to clinch up but O Halloran keeps it at a distance.
Gordon misses with an uppercut. O Halloran saw that one coming.
Gordon sends O Halloran crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Gordon is motioning to the referee to let O Halloran up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
That's one minute gone in the round.
O Halloran misses the jab.
Gordon throws a jab but it's blocked by O Halloran.
O Halloran forces Gordon back against the cage and clinches.
A short left from Gordon.
O Halloran blocks a punch to the side of the head.
O Halloran prevents a body shot from Gordon.
Gordon prevents a body shot from O Halloran.
Gordon gets through O Halloran's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Gordon scores with a shot to the side of O Halloran's head.
O Halloran is rocked!
O Halloran misses with some punches.
Gordon drops O Halloran onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! O Halloran is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
O Halloran is still on wobbly legs! Can Gordon finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A right hook to the body lands for Gordon.
O Halloran looks winded!
O Halloran's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Gordon creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends O Halloran's eyes rolling into the back of his head! O Halloran drops to his knees and Gordon pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Gordon!
