Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Liam Christopher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 9 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Thurgood Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins lands a nice looking kick to the body. Christopher takes a step back to recover. Jenkins lands a nice looking body kick. Jenkins scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Christopher is breathing heavily. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Jenkins. Christopher shrugs it off though. Christopher has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Jenkins. Jenkins steps into range and cracks Christopher with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Christopher flops backwards and Jenkins dives into his guard looking to finish!
Christopher is rocked!
It looks like Liam Christopher has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jenkins sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Christopher's guard. Oh Christopher is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Jenkins content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Jenkins's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Jenkins frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Christopher seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jenkins controlling from mount. Let's hope that Jenkins has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

That's two minutes gone in the round. More stalling from Jenkins. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Jenkins. It looks like Jenkins might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christopher is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Jenkins controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jenkins is continuing to stall. Yet more stalling tactics from Jenkins. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Thurgood Jenkins dominated that round. The cut man is working on Liam Christopher's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Jenkins thows a body kick. Christopher tries to catch it but that hurt him. A solid body kick from Jenkins. Jenkins closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Christopher's guard. Jenkins's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jenkins works a leg free and moves into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jenkins with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Jenkins has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Christopher is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Jenkins content to control rather than advance. Jenkins works his way into side control. Jenkins staying calm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jenkins advances to mount. Jenkins controlling from mount. The adventures of Jenkins the control monster continue. Boring. Jenkins moves to take his opponent's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jenkins is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Jenkins with more of the same as he continues to hold on.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Christopher walks forward, straight into a front kick from Jenkins. Christopher takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Jenkins throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Thurgood Jenkins seems to be getting the better of the standup. Christopher walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Jenkins moves into the clinch. Jenkins lands a left hand that snaps the head of Christopher backwards. Jenkins digs a right hand into Christopher's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Christopher's gas tank. Nice body punch from Jenkins. Jenkins taking a breather. Jenkins lands a hook that snaps the head of Christopher backwards. Jenkins lands a big right hand that drops Christopher! The killer instinct kicks in and Jenkins finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Jenkins!
