Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dewey Foley!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aguilar shoots in and drives through. Foley sprawls well.
Foley throws a big counter head kick but Aguilar avoids it with no problem.
Aguilar rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Foley counters with a stiff right hand.
Aguilar tests Foley's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Foley throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Aguilar misses with a shot to the body
and Foley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Foley throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Aguilar feinted with a counter takedown.
Aguilar lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Foley throws a series of punches but Aguilar avoids them all with ease.
Aguilar half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Aguilar connects with a single shot there.
Aguilar thows a left - swing and a miss!
A slow jab from Foley misses its intended target.

Aguilar looking to score a takedown here. Foley is defending well but Aguilar drives through and ends up in Foley's guard.

Aguilar stands and throws Foley's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Aguilar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Foley knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Aguilar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

You can see the frustration on Foley's face as Aguilar controls the position.
Foley is not content to let Aguilar control the position.
Foley regains half guard there - taking advantage of Aguilar's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Aguilar is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Aguilar is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Aguilar looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Aguilar trying to control but Foley is having none of it.
Foley stops Aguilar from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Aguilar has hold of Foley's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Foley manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Aguilar content just to control the position here.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Foley throws a right and a left that both miss.

Aguilar is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Foley can do to turn this around?
Aguilar connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Dewey Foley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Foley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Aguilar.
Foley doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

and Foley counters with a straight right hand.

Foley gets caught napping as Aguilar dives in and scores a takedown. Foley manages to retain guard.

Sergio Aguilar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Aguilar passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Aguilar thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Foley is looking for a sweep.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Aguilar wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Foley, who protects the arm well.
Foley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aguilar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Foley is not content to let Aguilar control the position.

Aguilar is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Foley has escaped the position, nice work there.

Aguilar has hold of Foley's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Foley seems comfortable defending it but Aguilar has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Foley is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Foley is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Aguilar couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Sergio Aguilar!
In his post fight interview, Sergio Aguilar started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
