Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Miles Trevino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matija Stefulinac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matija Stefulinac!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stefulinac throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Trevino was covering up waiting for the punch and Stefulinac finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Trevino keeping moving, preventing Stefulinac from controlling successfully.
Trevino wants to sweep but no luck.
Stefulinac wants to control from the top but Trevino keeps moving.

Trevino had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stefulinac defends it easily.

Stefulinac wants to control from the top but Trevino keeps moving.
Stefulinac wants to get up but he can't break Trevino's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Trevino manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Trevino has picked Stefulinac up - he's going for a ride! Trevino dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Stefulinac manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Trevino keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Trevino manages to pull guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Trevino looking for a guillotine here but Stefulinac defends easily.

Stefulinac decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Trevino dives in for a single leg takedown but Stefulinac sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Stefulinac looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Trevino really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Trevino is pressing down on Stefulinac's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Stefulinac in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stefulinac accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Trevino is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stefulinac defends well.
Trevino is breathing heavily.

Stefulinac decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Stefulinac closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stefulinac lands in his opponent's guard.

Trevino can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Stefulinac controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stefulinac passes Trevino's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Trevino tries to kick Stefulinac off in order to stand up. Stefulinac Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Trevino is looking to regain half guard here but Stefulinac keeps moving and retains side control.
Stefulinac creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Trevino is not content to let Stefulinac control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trevino tries to close the distance and clinch but Stefulinac swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Trevino wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Stefulinac fails with an attempt to clinch.

Stefulinac closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Trevino did well to prevent Stefulinac getting side control.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Stefulinac controlling the positon.
Stefulinac scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Stefulinac has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Stefulinac has managed to slip his arm under Trevino's chin. This could be all over... yep, Trevino is tapping out! Submission win for Stefulinac.
