Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Sutton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Maloney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maloney has chosen Jump Around by House of Pain as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Thomas Maloney told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Buddy Sutton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Maloney! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sutton stuffs the takedown. Sutton is looking for a counter combo. Sutton checks a leg kick. Maloney misses with an attempted mid kick.
A combination from Maloney does no damage. Maloney tries to bum rush Sutton with a series of wild strikes but Sutton uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Maloney avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Maloney is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Maloney throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Maloney throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sutton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Maloney as he avoids it easily. Sutton wants to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sutton dives in and grabs Maloney's left leg, looking for a takedown. Maloney pushes down on Sutton's head and hops out. Maloney throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. Sutton ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sutton no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Maloney is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sutton sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sutton fails to land the takedown. Sutton fails with a takedown attempt. Nice sprawl there from Maloney as Sutton shoots in. Maloney unleashes a big counter combination but Sutton bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Maloney lands with a nice combination. Thomas Maloney showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Maloney gets to his feet. Sutton looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Sutton has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. A head kick misses from Maloney. Maloney shoots in looking for a takedown. Sutton tries to sprawl out of it but Maloney keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sutton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Thomas Maloney is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Sutton fails with a takedown attempt. Maloney moves into the clinch successfully.

Sutton is trying to drag Maloney to the mat but Maloney just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Sutton pulls guard. Buddy Sutton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Maloney looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
And that's the end of the fight! Thomas Maloney comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Maloney has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
