Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Woima Karhu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ludwig Manres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karhu comes to the cage accompanied by House of Pain - Jump Around. Manres has chosen Aqualung - Jethro Tull as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Woima Karhu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
31 - 33 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Ludwig Manres! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karhu throws a head kick that Manres semi-blocks.
Good work by Manres as he checks the leg kick. Manres with the counter takedown but Karhu avoids it easily. Karhu tries to work over Manres's front leg with a kick but Manres checks it. Woima Karhu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Karhu throws a leg kick but Manres checks it. Manres has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Manres takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Karhu ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Manres moves away. Manres takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Manres changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Karhu misses with a low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Manres staying out of range there. Karhu fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Karhu gets caught flat footed, as Manres shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Karhu wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karhu trying to control the position here. Manres throws a big right hand that misses. Manres is looking to work some ground and pound but Karhu has wrist control. Manres looking to sit in guard and control but Karhu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Karhu wants to control from the top but Manres keeps moving. Karhu controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Karhu won't allow Manres to sweep him here. Karhu showing good wrestling skills to control the position. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Manres holds on and takes a little breather. Karhu trying to control the position from guard on top but Manres is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karhu won't allow Manres to sweep him here. Karhu forces his way into half guard. Karhu is looking to take a break and control but Manres is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Manres is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Karhu's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Karhu's back! Karhu just trying to survive but Manres is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Manres biding his time, controlling Karhu. Manres looking for the choke from the back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Manres doesn't have the hooks in and Karhu manages to turn into his guard.
Karhu wants to control from the top but Manres keeps moving. Karhu controls the pace of the fight for a moment. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Manres not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Manres had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Karhu defends it easily. Karhu postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Manres is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Karhu, into his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Woima Karhu dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Karhu connects with a good right hand that stumbles Manres. Manres circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Manres slips a jab and a cross from Karhu.
Karhu looks for the body kick but Manres saw that one coming. Manres has a takedown stuffed. Karhu throws a body shot but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Karhu throws a solid leg kick but Manres takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Karhu. Manres dives in for a single leg takedown but Karhu sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Some wild striking there from Karhu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karhu tries a low kick but Manres avoids it. Karhu swings for the body but Manres moves out of range.

Karhu tries to free his leg and advance position but Manres is retaining full guard. Karhu controls from within his opponent's guard. Manres is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Manres keeping moving, preventing Karhu from controlling successfully. Karhu slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Manres looks to move to half guard but instead Karhu has passed into mount! Damn! Karhu tries to control but Manres wriggling away. Karhu goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Manres is on top in guard.

Karhu keeping moving, preventing Manres from controlling successfully. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Manres throwing strikes from guard but Karhu blocks nicely. Manres missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Karhu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Manres working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Karhu wants to sweep but no luck. Manres lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Karhu manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Manres manages to get himself to full guard.
Karhu looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Ludwig Manres has got the better of the ground game so far. Manres controls Karhu momentarily but Karhu frees himself. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Karhu controls the pace of the fight for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Manres fails with a takedown attempt. A head kick misses from Karhu. Manres tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Woima Karhu is winning the standup battle so far. Manres throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Karhu tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Manres is in Karhu's guard. Manres lands a couple of decent looking shots. Karhu controls Manres momentarily but Manres frees himself. Karhu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Manres wants to control from the top but Karhu keeps moving.

Manres is in close to Karhu's body, working some short punches and elbows. Karhu keeping moving, preventing Manres from controlling successfully. Karhu is trying to keep Manres in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Karhu misses the shot to the body. Manres keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Karhu gets back to full guard.
Manres drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Karhu dives on top into guard. Karhu won't allow Manres to sweep him here. Manres escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Karhu gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Karhu wants to control from the top but Manres keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Woima Karhu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Ludwig Manres has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Karhu content to stall in guard here.
And that's the end of the fight! Ludwig Manres comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Karhu has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
