Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Orjan Ank (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rico Cole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ank comes to the cage accompanied by Burn. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Orjan Ank! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rico Cole! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.
![](https://www.mmatycoon.com/images/fight/round1.jpg) The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ank shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cole defends it nicely. Nice uppercut there from Cole. We've been told by Ank's head coaches at The Fortress that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Cole defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ank. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ank. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Orjan Ank. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cole turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Ank gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Cole counters with a nice uppercut. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cole catches Ank with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Ank shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Cole with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Cole throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Ank closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Cole did well to prevent Ank getting side control.
Ank is working for a submission of some sort.
Ank wants to work for an arm triangle but Cole is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ank is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Cole is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Orjan Ank! Orjan Ank seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
