Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ipod Apple (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamahl Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Blockbuster Night Pt. 1 as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 45 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ipod Apple! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jamahl Jones! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Apple gets in close and instigates a clinch. Apple wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jones has him pressed against the cage. Apple tries to throw a body punch but Jones avoids it by throwing Apple back against the cage. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Apple as Jones tries to tie him up. Jones is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Apple gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Jones is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Apple can't fight it off and eventually Jones manages to take the fight to the floor. Apple looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jones trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones distracts Apple with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Apple is keeping the position for now. Apple is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Jones is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jones's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jones controlling from the top position. Apple is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea. Jones drops back looking for a leg! Apple is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Apple manages to kick Jones off! Jones jumps back into Apple's guard. Apple controls Jones momentarily but Jones frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jones controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Apple is retaining full guard. Jones pushing down on Apple's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Jones lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Jones is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Apple is trying to escape back to his feet but Jones uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Jones is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Apple will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Apple looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Apple tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Jones prevents Apple from getting the reversal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones trying to control but Apple is having none of it. Apple on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Apple tries to get out of the position. Jones connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Jones raining down shots from the mount! Apple could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Jones has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Apple's face.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jones working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Apple turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Jones off and cradles Apple's limp body as Jones celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Jamahl Jones! A victorious Jamahl Jones thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
