PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Arloski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyson Black!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrei Arloski!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Black will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Arloski takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


It looks like Andrei Arloski has been cut.
Black tries to land a front kick but Arloski steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Black moves into range and clinches up with Arloski.
Black wants to break the clinch but can't.
Arloski blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Arloski is working for takedown but Black is calmly controlling the position for now.

Arloski manages to break the clinch.
Black misses with a body shot.
Arloski moves in looking to clinch but Black pushes him off.
Black misses the jab.

Arloski clinches up with Black and pushes him back against the cage.
Black is trying to drag Arloski to the mat but Arloski just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Black escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Arloski fails in his attempt to clinch.

Arloski drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Black has a closed guard, preventing Arloski from standing up.
Arloski with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Arloski decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Black, up you get!

Arloski drives through with a takedown into guard.
Black looking for a sweep. Not yet Black, not yet.
Arloski wanted to stand there but Black had control of the position.
Black managing to control the position.
Arloski trying to stand up but can't free himself from Black's guard.
Arloski looks gassed!
Black wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Black manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Arloski is in a horrible position here. Black smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Black lands with some strikes.
Black looking to control and managing it successfully.

Black looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Black landing shots from mount.
Arloski is trying to stand.
Arloski is in a horrible position here. Black smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Black lands with some strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Black lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Black trying to control but Arloski is having none of it.
Black landing punches.
Black throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Arloski is wriggling around trying to escape.
Black wants to control the pace but Arloski is squirming around nicely.

Arloski somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!
Black misses with a takedown attempt
and Arloski counters with a left and a right that stings Black.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyson Black. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Black throws a series of punches but Arloski avoids them all with ease.
Arloski closes this distance looking for a takedown but Black circles away.
Black shoots in but no luck this time.
Arloski staying out of range there.

Black changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Arloski looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Black lands an elbow.

Black tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Black wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Arloski, who protects the arm well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Black is putting a hurting on Arloski here, landing some big shots from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyson Black dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Andrei Arloski's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Black looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Arloski avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Black avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Arloski is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Black wants to control from the top but Arloski keeps moving.

Black drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Black seems to have locked his on tight now - Arloski screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Black, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Tyson Black!
