PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pozar Pozar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaakko Kolloo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pozar's entrance music is z Buta Wjeżdzam. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pozar shoots in but Kolloo avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Pozar seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kolloo bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Kolloo. That's going to slow Pozar down.
Kolloo throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Kolloo misses with a low kick as Pozar jumps back.
Pozar walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Kolloo pushes Pozar away with a front kick.
Pozar takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Pozar takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Pozar shoots in for a takedown but Kolloo shows good takedown defense.
Kolloo feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pozars jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pozar misses with a takedown attempt - Kolloo sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kolloo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Pozar dives in and grabs Kolloo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kolloo pushes down on Pozar's head and hops out.

Kolloo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pozar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pozar is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kolloo is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kolloo has escaped and now he's on top!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kolloo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kolloo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pozar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kolloo has managed to get both his arms back between Pozar's legs - danger averted.

Kolloo thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Pozar if he has to take too many more of those.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pozar is pushing down on Kolloo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kolloo is fighting to maintain full guard but Pozar has managed to sneak the leg through.

Pozar is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kolloo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Pozar.

Pozar takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kolloo fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Pozar to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Pozar looks to clinch but Kolloo throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Pozar taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
