Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dmitri Akhmetov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takahashi Yuki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dmitri Akhmetov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takahashi Yuki! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yuki closes this distance looking for a takedown but Akhmetov circles away. Akhmetov gets caught napping as Yuki dives in and scores a takedown. Akhmetov manages to retain guard. Akhmetov scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Yuki scores with a nice head shot. Yuki throws a left and a right that both miss
and Akhmetov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Yuki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Akhmetov as he avoids it easily. Yuki throws a leg kick but Akhmetov sees it coming and checks it nicely. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Yuki has his takedown stuffed and Akhmetov counters with a three punch combo that has Yuki backing up. Yuki nods at Akhmetov to acknowledge the strikes. Dmitri Akhmetov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Takahashi Yuki. Akhmetov has Yuki up against the ropes in a clinch.
Yuki tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Yuki throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Akhmetovs head. A head punch on the inside from Yuki fails to land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yuki is fighting off a takedown attempt but Akhmetov is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Yuki to the mat. Yuki regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Akhmetov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Akhmetov wants to get up but he can't break Yuki's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Akhmetov decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Akhmetov pushes Yuki up against the ropes in a clinch. Akhmetov is trying to push Yuki away but Yuki has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Akhmetov turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Akhmetov manages to end up in side control. Yuki explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Jab, jab by Yuki - just one landing. We've been told by Akhmetov's head coaches at Body Pain_12elite_599$+VM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Yuki scores with a nice head shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akhmetov slaps away a takedown attempt from Yuki, before circling back to the center of the mat. Akhmetov gets in close and instigates a clinch. Akhmetov is trying to break free. Yuki decides to pull guard. Akhmetov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Yuki is keeping the position for now. Akhmetov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Akhmetov stops Yuki from standing up. Yuki pushes Akhmetov off and gets back to his feet.
Akhmetov circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yuki tries to bum rush Akhmetov with a series of wild strikes but Akhmetov uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Akhmetov connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Akhmetov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Yuki explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Akhmetov closes the distance and clinches. Yuki misses with a knee strike.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Yuki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A shot to the liver by Akhmetov. Beautiful body shot. Yuki looks winded! Akhmetov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Akhmetov keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. We've been informed that Yuki has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Akhmetov not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Akhmetov stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Yuki to get to his feet. Yuki takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Takahashi Yuki has been cut. Yuki shoots in looking for a takedown. Akhmetov tries to sprawl out of it but Yuki keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Akhmetov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Akhmetov throws a head kick that misses. Yuki checks a leg kick. Akhmetov forces Yuki back against the ropes and clinches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dmitri Akhmetov will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Takahashi Yuki's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Yuki enables Akhmetov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Yuki manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Akhmetov content to stall in guard here. Yuki wants to stand up but Akhmetov is controlling him. Yuki is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Akhmetov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yuki is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Akhmetov is controlling him.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Dmitri Akhmetov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Yuki manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Akhmetov on his heels. He'll look to pass Akhmetov's guard now, I'm sure. The fighters are working up against the ropes. Akhmetov manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the ropes. Akhmetov has had enough of the clinch but Yuki keeps him there for the moment. Yuki tries for a takedown. No joy.
Akhmetov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Yuki showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Akhmetov.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yuki fails with a takedown attempt. Oooooh!!! Akhmetov has knocked Yuki down with a huge combo! Akhmetov steps away and waves a wobbly Yuki back to his feet! This one might not go much longer! Yuki is breathing heavily. This has been an exciting period of action! Yuki is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Yuki is rocked! Akhmetov dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Yuki has had enough and taps out.
