Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anthony Bourdain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quill Styles!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourdain cracks the inside of Styles's front leg.
Styles tries to clinch there but Bourdain circles away.
Bourdain bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Bourdain throws a leg kick which misses Styles's front leg but catches the back leg as Styles tries to avoid it.
Styles takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Styles tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Styles tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bourdain sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Styles somewhat.
Bourdain throws a quick counter kick to the body but Styles avoids it.
Quill Styles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping leg kick lands for Bourdain.
Styles wants to clinch up but Bourdain keeps it at a distance.
Bourdain moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Nice sprawl there from Bourdain as Styles shoots in.
Bourdain throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Bourdain gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Styles looks winded!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bourdain looking for a triangle here. Styles is fighting it but it looks tight! Bourdain pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Styles is tapping out - this one is all over!
