Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ron Garner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Maskin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garner's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, 50 Cent - Window Shopper. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maskin just misses with a punch to the body.
Maskin clobbers Garner with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Oliver Maskin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Garner changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Maskin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Maskin is trying to get back to his feet.

Garner wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Maskin, who protects the arm well.
Maskin wants to control but Garner postures up.
We've been hearing good reports from Garner's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Garner ducks under a wild hook from Maskin.
Maskin throws a series of punches but Garner avoids them all with ease.

Maskin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Maskin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Garner drops back looking for a leg! Maskin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Maskin manages to kick Garner off! Garner jumps back into Maskin's guard.

Maskin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Garner is one step ahead there.

Garner wants to control from the top but Maskin keeps moving.
Maskin is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garner passes Maskin's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Garner wants to control but Maskin is keeping him busy.
Garner stops Maskin from getting back to his feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Garner in particular looking to stall.
Garner moves nicely into side control.
Ron Garner overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Garner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Maskin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Garner is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Maskin is trying to escape and Garner transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Maskin is forced to tap! Nice work there by Garner! Very nice indeed!
