Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juha Pikkarainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jusa Jesse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jusa Jesse has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Juha Pikkarainen's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jusa Jesse!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pikkarainen misses with a double jab.

Pikkarainen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jesse circles away quickly and effectively.

Jesse is trying to get an arm triangle but Pikkarainen is defending well.

Pikkarainen wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Jesse manages to pass to side control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Pikkarainen tries to kick Jesse off but Jesse keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jesse slips a nice elbow through Pikkarainen's hands, connecting with Pikkarainen's forehead.
Jesse takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Pikkarainen is looking to escape.
Jesse wants to take a breather but Pikkarainen is having none of it.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Pikkarainen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jesse.

Pikkarainen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jesse postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pikkarainen looks a forlorn figure.

Pikkarainen's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Jesse had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Pikkarainen is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jesse Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Pikkarainen's back instead.
Pikkarainen is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Jesse.

Jesse is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Pikkarainen. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Pikkarainen is trying to get back to his feet but Jesse has full control of the position and if anything, Pikkarainen has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Well Jesse has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
