Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buzz Aldren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and dd dd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
dd misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Aldren fails with a takedown attempt.
dd throws a counter combo.
Aldren fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but dd avoids it really well and circles away.

dd decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
dd lands with a punch from half guard.
Aldren controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Aldren is trying to defend against the ground and pound but dd scores with a couple of nice shots.

dd gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
dd has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Aldren is landing a low percentage of strikes.

dd looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
dd keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

dd trying to control but Aldren is having none of it.
Aldren regains half guard.

dd is working for a submission of some sort.
Aldren is pressing down on dd's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Aldren will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

dd not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
dd tries to free his leg and advance position but Aldren is retaining full guard.
Aldren keeping moving, preventing dd from controlling successfully.

dd closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Aldren's guard.

Aldren pushes dd off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Aldren fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Aldren sets himself, and dd steps forward looking for the clinch! Aldren avoids it this time.

dd takes a swing at Aldren's ribcage but misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Aldren shoots for a double leg takedown but dd sprawls well. He's pushed Aldren's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

dd takes the fight into the clinch.

dd breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

dd pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Aldren closes the distance but dd moves to the side

and dd counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Aldren makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Aldren.

Aldren bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in dd's guard.

dd manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from dd.

dd gets control of Aldren's arms and successfully pulls guard. dd will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
dd can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Aldren controls the pace.
Aldren wants to control from the top but dd keeps moving.
dd looking to hit a scissor sweep but Aldren is one step ahead there.

Aldren wants to get up but he can't break dd's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Aldren won't allow dd to sweep him here.

dd is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

dd gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Aldren regains guard.
Aldren is trying to control the position but dd postures up.
dd wants to stand but Aldren has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
dd works a leg free and moves into half guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Aldren tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

dd looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
dd is looking to stall here but Aldren recovers full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

dd dd showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

dd will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
dd has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Aldren shoots in for a takedown but dd shows good takedown defense.

Aldren is trying to pull guard but dd turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
dd throws a sloppy head kick and Aldren moves out of range easily.
Aldren attempts a counter takedown but dd avoids it well and moves away.

dd moves into the clinch.
Knees in the clinch landing for dd.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

dd works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells dd's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
dd sitting in guard, not really doing much.
dd is looking to stand up but Aldren won't let him.

dd wants to control from the top but Aldren keeps moving.
Aldren wants to sweep here but dd controlling him for the moment.
dd postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
dd looking to sit in guard and control but Aldren gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

dd wants to stand up but Aldren is controlling him.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Well dd has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
