Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sandy Osborne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jig Alo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sandy Osborne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jig Alo! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alo clinches up against the cage. Osborne tries to pull guard but Alo holds him up against the cage and eventually Osborne drops back down to his feet.
A head punch on the inside from Osborne fails to land. Alo tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Osborne could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Alo tries for a takedown but Osborne manages to get underhooks.
Osborne tries to work over Alo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Osborne tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Osborne tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Alo just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sandy Osborne. That's going to take a lot out of him. Osborne breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alo moves into the clinch. Osborne tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Alo smiles and moves away.

That's one minute gone in the round. Osborne is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Osborne rushes Alo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Osborne is trying to break the clinch but Alo has him pressed against the cage. Alo is trying to break the clinch but Osborne is controlling him. Alo looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Osborne is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Alo is defending well for now. Osborne is trying to pull guard but Alo turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Osborne landing some nice looking knees to the body.

Osborne tries to throw a body punch but Alo avoids it by throwing Osborne back against the cage. Osborne breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Osborne dodges the punch combination from Alo.
Osborne wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Osborne fails with an attempt to clinch.
Alo lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Alo closes the distance and pushes Osborne back into the cage. Osborne tries to pull guard but Alo forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Alo stalling the fight.
Osborne wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Osborne pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Alo misses with a takedown attempt - Osborne sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Osborne gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Alo is pushing Osborne up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Alo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Osborne pulls his leg out and moves away.

Alo receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Alo lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Osborne. Osborne breaks the clinch.

Alo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Osborne might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Osborne trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jig Alo will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Alo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Osborne stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Alo fails with a takedown attempt. Alo throws a nice looking combination but Osborne bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nice shot by Alo.
It looks like Sandy Osborne has been cut. Osborne thuds his right hand into Alo's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Osborne moves into range and clinches up with Alo. Osborne is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Alo to keep the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alo managing to block the knees to the body from Osborne.

That's one minute gone in the round. Alo throws a big elbow that misses. Alo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Alo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Osborne defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Alo. Nice takedown defense from Osborne. No joy for Alo on that attempt. Sandy Osborne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jig Alo. Osborne gets tackled into the cage by Alo. Alo maintains the clinch. Alo using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Osborne has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Alo looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Alo tries to score a body lock takedown but Osborne shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Alo is looking for a takedown. Alo is breathing heavily. Alo goes for a takedown in the clinch but Osborne prevents it.

Osborne keeping moving, preventing Alo from controlling successfully. Osborne is working an open guard so Alo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Alo fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Alo is defended easily by Osborne. Osborne wants to clinch up but Alo keeps it at a distance. Alo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Alo can't break the clinch.

Alo decides to pull guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Osborne loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Alo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Osborne manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Osborne looking for a sweep. Not yet Osborne, not yet. Osborne keeping moving, preventing Alo from controlling successfully. Osborne trying to keep a closed guard but Alo is proving a slippery customer.

Jig Alo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Sandy Osborne's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Alo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Alo controls Osborne momentarily but Osborne frees himself. Alo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Osborne doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Osborne manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Alo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Alo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jig Alo has got the better of the ground game so far. Osborne distracts Alo with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alo is on top in guard.
Alo wants to control from the top but Osborne keeps moving. Alo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alo looking to sit in guard and control but Osborne gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Alo working for a triangle but Osborne defends it easily.
Osborne has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Alo wants to control but Osborne passes easily into half guard.
Alo is looking to control Osborne's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Alo avoid being mounted?
That's four minutes gone in the round. Osborne moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Alo. Alo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Alo is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Osborne working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
And that's the end of the fight! Sandy Osborne showed his dominance in that final round. I think Alo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
