Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bill Smif (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony McReynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McReynolds has chosen 100 bars of Death as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bill Smif! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anthony McReynolds! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McReynolds fails in his attempt to clinch. McReynolds misses with a few strikes there.
McReynolds shoots in and drives through. Smif sprawls well. Smif swinging wilding here.
McReynolds has a takedown stuffed. Smif misses with a two punch combination.
McReynolds gets a clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smif has had enough of the clinch but McReynolds keeps him there for the moment. Smif lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Smif is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Smif manages to break the clinch.
McReynolds moves out of range as Smif throws a body kick.
Smif rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McReynolds moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. McReynolds shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bill Smif has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony McReynolds. Horrible takedown by McReynolds or perhaps it was just good defense by Smif which made him look bad. McReynolds tries to close the distance and clinch but Smif swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. McReynolds dodges the punch combination from Smif.
Smif moves out of range of the body kick from McReynolds.
McReynolds throws a low kick but Smif avoids it. Smif wants to slow McReynolds down by chopping away at his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. McReynolds shoots in for a takedown but Smif shows good takedown defense. McReynolds looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Smif! Smif is trying to stand up. McReynolds looking to control but Smif is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Smif tries to hold on but McReynolds postures up. Smif is desperately trying to improve his position but McReynolds has a good base and remains in mount. Smif is trying to stand. McReynolds wants to finish this one by submission but Smif is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McReynolds. Smif wants to hold on but McReynolds pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smif is in all sorts of trouble here.
Smif wants to control but McReynolds is having none of it. The referee warns Smif that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
McReynolds blocks Smif's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Smif really wants to buck McReynolds off and get back to his feet. Smif really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
McReynolds stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. McReynolds slips a jab and a cross from Smif.
Smif misses with a double jab
and McReynolds counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McReynolds looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Smif trying to control but McReynolds postures up.
Smif lands with a few short shots to the body. McReynolds stands up and beckons Smif to join him on the feet. McReynolds looks gassed! Smif stuffs the takedown. McReynolds shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smif pinned against the cage. Smif gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Good shot there by Smif. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anthony McReynolds dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Smif will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
It looks like Anthony McReynolds has been cut. Smif scores with a crisp jab that stopped McReynolds in his tracks. McReynolds tries for a takedown but Smif sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Smif tries to clinch but McReynolds moves away and McReynolds counters with a takedown into side control. Smif is looking to work his way out of this bad position but McReynolds is controlling him well. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. McReynolds is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Smif has escaped the position, nice work there. McReynolds is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smif is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Check out the look on McReynolds's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
McReynolds has an Americana. Smif didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! McReynolds is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if McReynolds hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
