Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rogerio Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Rogerio Rodrigues has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rogerio Rodrigues!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tyson Silva!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Rodrigues sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Silva looks gassed!
Rodrigues shoots in but Silva avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rodrigues misses with a few strikes there.
Rodrigues throws a right hand that Silva ducks under and follows up with a left that Silva also avoids with ease.
Silva fails with an attempt to clinch.
Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Rodrigues scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
That has opened up Tyson Silva's cut even more.
Rodrigues swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rodrigues rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Rodrigues feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Silva sprawling to the canvas! Silva rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rodrigues finish him?!
Rogerio Rodrigues seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rodrigues lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Silva is looking to close the distance but Rodrigues sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Silva crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Silva is OK because that was naaaaaasty!
