Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexi Khazoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandre Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khazoki's entrance music is I Want It All. A fine choice. Alexi Khazoki has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexi Khazoki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexandre Ramos! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khazoki avoids the body shot from Ramos.
Khazoki is looking to clinch. Ramos shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Khazoki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Ramos is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Khazoki has taken his back.
Ramos has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Ramos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Khazoki looking to break Ramos's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Ramos remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Khazoki will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
That's one minute gone in the round. Khazoki working for a choke but Ramos reverses nicely into Khazoki 's guard. Khazoki manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Ramos manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ramos is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Khazoki is controlling him. Khazoki wants to stand but Ramos is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khazoki trying to control but Ramos is working from the bottom. Khazoki wanted to stand there but Ramos had control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Khazoki controls from within his opponent's guard. Khazoki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ramos swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexi Khazoki dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Khazoki slips under a jab from Ramos. Ramos dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Khazoki. That did some damage! Ramos stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Ramos with a poor takedown and Khazoki counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Khazoki missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Khazoki postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Ramos to stand up. Khazoki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Khazoki wants to control the pace but Ramos is squirming around nicely. Ramos is breathing heavily. Khazoki sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
That's one minute gone in the round. Khazoki goes for an armbar but Ramos turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Ramos. Khazoki looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ramos stands up from guard. Let's bang! Ramos throws a series of punches but Khazoki avoids them all with ease. Alexandre Ramos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Khazoki closes the distance and clinches. Khazoki is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ramos pulls him back up using the underhooks. Ramos tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Khazoki smiles and moves away.
Ramos misses with a hook.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramos swinging wilding here.
Ramos walks into a straight right hand from Khazoki. Ramos throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Ramos closes the distance and lands a one-two. Khazoki has closed the distance and engaged Ramos in a clinch.
Khazoki pulls guard effortlessly. Ramos won't allow Khazoki to get back to his feet. Khazoki looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ramos is one step ahead there. Khazoki pulls Ramos in close to his closed guard and prevents Ramos from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khazoki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexi Khazoki dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Khazoki rushes Ramos and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Khazoki tightens his grip and picks Ramos up, before dumping him to the ground. Ramos manages to land in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Khazoki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Khazoki drops back, looking for a kneebar! Ramos looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Ramos looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Ramos! Khazoki manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Khazoki on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Khazoki tries to get out of the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khazoki tries to roll over but Ramos keeps him under control. Khazoki is working hard here to advance position. Khazoki trying to hold on to Ramos's head to control him but Ramos postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ramos decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Khazoki shoots in but Ramos avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ramos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Khazoki paws at him with a jab and circles away. Khazoki wants to clinch up but Ramos keeps it at a distance. Ramos lands with a thumping leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ramos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Khazoki avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Khazoki feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Ramos keeping moving, preventing Khazoki from controlling successfully. Ramos wants to get back to his feet but Khazoki is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khazoki pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ramos is keeping the position for now. Alexi Khazoki is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Khazoki missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alexi Khazoki. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Khazoki, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
