The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGuire digs a good body shot into Turner's ribs.
Turner throws a hook but McGuire avoids it easily.
McGuire walks into a straight right hand from Turner.

McGuire cracks Turner with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

McGuire lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Turner shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McGuire sprawls well. McGuire wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Turner gets slowly back to his feet.

Turner tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but McGuire defends well and Turner ends up having to push McGuire into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
It looked like McGuire was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Turner.
Turner misses with a takedown attempt - McGuire sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Turner takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Turner might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Turner has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from McGuire.
