And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lindsay Brain!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ben Watson and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brain will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
As Brain tries to get set, Compton tries to push him back and clinch up but Brain manages to avoid the attempt.

Compton looking to score a takedown here. Brain is defending well but Compton drives through and ends up in Brain's guard.
Compton working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Compton postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Compton is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brain is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Compton wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brain, who protects the arm well.

Brain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Compton is working Brain over with some ground and pound from side control.

Compton goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Brain is on top in guard.
Brain must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Compton closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Compton lands in his opponent's guard.
Brain wants to get back to his feet but Compton passes into half guard.
