Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimbo Malac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mauricio Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jimbo Malac! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Malac shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well. Malac misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Malac shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side. Mauricio Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jimbo Malac. Silva will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Malac with a lazy takedown attempt and Silva counters with a low kick, right behind Malac 's knee. Malac shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Malac keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Malac looks gassed! Silva throws a nice outside leg kick. Jimbo Malac seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva lands an overhand right. Silva shoots for a double leg takedown but Malac sprawls well. He's pushed Silva's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Silva instigates a clinch. Malac tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
