Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Karl Heinz Bauser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gerrald James!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as James checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Bauser tries to clinch but James moves out of range.
James looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
James swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bauser.
James looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
James is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bauser.
James checks a leg kick nicely.

Bauser drives through and clinches with James against the cage.

Bauser is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables James to keep the fight standing.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

James wants to pass the guard but Bauser is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
James sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bauser's guard.

Bauser has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Bauser jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as James walks away with a smile on his face. Bauser gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

James cracks Bauser with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Bauser looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can James finish him?
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

James connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Bauser out cold! This one is over in a flash!

A relieved looking Gerrald James thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
