Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rick James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marvin Nash! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James clinches up against the cage. James lands an elbow inside.
It looks like Marvin Nash has been cut. James misses with an elbow strike.
James is pressed up against the cage. Nash has hold of a leg and is looking to drag James down to the mat. James avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. James tries to close the distance and clinch but Nash swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. James clinches up with Nash and pushes him back against the cage. Nice elbow from James. James lands an elbow inside that Nash shrugs off. James throws an elbow but it's blocked.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Nash. Nash fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Rick James has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marvin Nash. Nash takes an elbow to the forehead. Nash wants a takedown but no success here.

With the fighters up against the cage, James throws an elbow but misses. Nash takes an elbow to the temple. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nash blocks an elbow strike. James misses with an elbow over the top. James lands a nice elbow. James gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
That has opened up Marvin Nash's cut even more.

Nash gets tackled into the cage by James. James maintains the clinch. James throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
A nice glancing elbow lands by James. James lands an elbow just above Nash 's eye. Nash tries for a takedown but James manages to get underhooks.
James pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. James lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. James prevents the takedown attempt.

The cut above Marvin Nash's eye is starting to cause him problems now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. James lands an elbow just above Nash 's eye.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nash is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but James is keeping busy. James lands an elbow inside. James lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. James lands an elbow that stopped Nash in his tracks for a moment.
Marvin Nash's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. James misses with an elbow strike.
James pushes off an throws an elbow but Nash leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Nash tries to score a body lock takedown but James shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Nash blocks an elbow strike. James throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Marvin Nash's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Rick James! An out of breath Rick James thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
