Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Barrett Robbins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boudewijn Ties (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boudewijn Ties has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Barrett Robbins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Boudewijn Ties!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robbins avoids the head kick by Ties.

Robbins tries to keep at a distance but Ties has taken the fight into the clinch.

Ties pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Robbins has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Ties has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Robbins is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Robbins won't allow Ties to pass to mount.
Robbins is looking to control Ties's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Robbins avoid being mounted?

Ties looks to land a strike but Robbins avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Ties misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Ties has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ties tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Ties goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Robbins has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ties but great work by Robbins.

Ties is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Ties has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Robbins is working away from the top position though.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Robbins wants to work for an arm triangle but Ties is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Ties tries to score a power double leg takedown but Robbins sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ties somewhat.
Ties closes this distance looking for a takedown but Robbins circles away.

Ties drives through and clinches with Robbins against the cage.

Robbins has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Ties is trying to keep an underhook but Robbins manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Ties wants to hold on but Robbins pushes him away.
Robbins lands a couple of good shots and Ties has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Robbins cracks Ties with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Ties from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

Ties manages to reverse the position and now he's in Robbins's guard. Nice work there by Ties.
Ties is breathing heavily.
Robbins throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Robbins is adopting a defensive guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ties accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ties is pushing down on Robbins's leg trying to pass to half guard. Robbins is fighting to maintain full guard but Ties has managed to sneak the leg through.

Robbins is trying to control but Ties passes into side control!
Ties sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Robbins is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Ties wants to lay and pray for a moment but Robbins keeps working.

Ties landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ties working away.

Ties is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Robbins is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Robbins trying his best to control but Ties has mounted him.
Robbins is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Ties has isolated one of Robbins's arms. Robbins looking to fight him off but Ties twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
