Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucien Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeATH Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lucien Briggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, DeATH Knight!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs shoots in looking for a takedown but Knight manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Briggs's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Briggs gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Briggs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Briggs looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Briggs trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Briggs avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Knight postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Knight is looking to work some ground and pound but Briggs has wrist control.
Briggs really is a fat lump.

Briggs is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Briggs wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Knight controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Knight in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Briggs working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Knight has passed into half guard!
Knight thows a huge punch but Briggs dodges it nicely.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Knight not doing much here.
Knight throwing shots but Briggs is blocking nicely.
Briggs trying to control but Knight postures up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Knight throws a series of punches but Briggs avoids them all with ease.

Knight scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Briggs bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Knight moves into the clinch.
Knight has had enough of the clinch but Briggs keeps him there for the moment.
Briggs throws a punch but it's blocked by Knight.
Knight working hard to break the clinch.

Knight gets control of Briggs's arms and successfully pulls guard. Knight will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Knight wants to sweep but no luck.
Briggs with a flurry of punches that miss.
Briggs wanted to stand there but Knight had control of the position.
Knight keeping moving, preventing Briggs from controlling successfully.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Knight wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Briggs is now in half guard.
Briggs is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Knight is trying to get back to full guard.

Knight looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Knight is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Briggs is looking for a kimura but Knight is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Briggs to get the leverage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

DeATH Knight dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Knight is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Briggs's half guard.

Knight wants to free his trapped foot but Briggs is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Knight slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

DeATH Knight seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Knight shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Briggs trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Knight looking to control and managing it successfully.
Briggs avoids a series of strikes thrown by Knight.

Knight avoids the attempt from Briggs to control.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Knight. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Knight sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

DeATH Knight has got the better of the ground game so far.
Briggs is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Briggs is in all sorts of trouble here.
Briggs tries to control Knight's body but Knight pushes him off. Briggs squirms to his side and now Knight has his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

DeATH Knight showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Knight's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Knight closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Briggs did well to prevent Knight getting side control.

Knight wants to control but Briggs is keeping him busy.
Briggs is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Knight tries to move to mount but Briggs blocks the move with his legs.
You can see the frustration on Briggs's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Briggs is not content to let Knight control the position.
Briggs prevents Knight from improving position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Briggs can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Briggs is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Briggs shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Knight as he avoids it easily.
Knight has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Knight lands a left and a right that send Briggs crashing to the mat, dazed. Knight thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Lucien Briggs has been cut.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Knight leaves Briggs with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight!
DeATH Knight comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Knight has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3 rounds of action, we go to the scorecards for a decision.
