Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edward McLauglin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Newmark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newmark comes into a darkened arena with his song building. On the run kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edward McLauglin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
30 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bobby Newmark! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newmark changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. McLauglin scores with a hook. Newmark pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Newmark looks to throw the jab but McLauglin is out of range. The fighters circling - McLauglin throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Newmark takes a shot right to the bread basket. McLauglin clinches up with Newmark and pushes him back against the cage. McLauglin lands a body shot in the clinch.

McLauglin blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

It looks like Edward McLauglin has been cut. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. McLauglin obliges. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McLauglin tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
McLauglin scores with a nice hook to the head. McLauglin manages to break the clinch.
McLauglin feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Newmarks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A solid leg kick lands there for McLauglin.

That's one minute gone in the round. Newmark's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McLauglin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Newmark scrambles back to his feet. Newmark punishes McLauglin's body with a nice straight punch. The crowd cheers as McLauglin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Newmark doesn't seem phased though. Newmark swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for McLauglin.
McLauglin checks a low kick from Newmark. Newmark moves out of range of the body kick. Newmark steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McLauglin. McLauglin throws a poor cross that misses
and Newmark counters with a nice uppercut. McLauglin moves into range and clinches up with Newmark. Newmark fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
McLauglin manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! McLauglin blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. McLauglin obliges. McLauglin makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. McLauglin swings wildly with an uppercut but Newmark uses good head movement to avoid it. A short right from McLauglin. McLauglin misses with a hook to the ribs.
McLauglin throws a punch but it's blocked by Newmark. I was talking to McLauglin's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. McLauglin lands with a short shot to the head. Newmark scores with a nice hook to the head. McLauglin has a couple of punches blocked by Newmark.
Newmark tries a knee to the head but McLauglin blocks it.

McLauglin misses with a short punch on the inside. McLauglin's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McLauglin throws a wild body kick that Newmark sees coming a mile off. Newmark looks like he wants to counter punch here. McLauglin connects with a body shot that sends Newmark's belly button to the back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McLauglin throws a lazy uppercut
and Newmark counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Newmark avoids the body shot from McLauglin.
McLauglin throws a leg kick but Newmark sees it coming and checks it nicely. McLauglin tests Newmark's chin there with a solid looking shot. Newmark takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Newmark tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McLauglin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. A nice leg kick lands there from Newmark. McLauglin misses with a straight left. Newmark fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McLauglin manages to avoid it. McLauglin throws a half hearted mid kick. Newmark is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down McLauglin rather than just go for the knockout. McLauglin throws a hook to the side of Newmark's head but Newmark sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Newmark steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect. Newmark blocks the body kick.
Newmark throws out a counter right but McLauglin avoids it with no problem. McLauglin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Newmark throws out a loose jab but McLauglin uses good head movement to avoid it. Newmark lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! McLauglin connects with a right hand. Newmark shakes it off. Edward McLauglin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McLauglin scores with a jab to the jaw. A slapping leg kick lands for McLauglin.

Left hook, right uppercut from Newmark. Newmark lands a nice shot that snaps McLauglin's head back.
Edward McLauglin's cut is getting worse. McLauglin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Newmark was well out of range. Poor timing from McLauglin. The crowd cheers as McLauglin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Newmark doesn't seem phased though. McLauglin attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Newmark avoids the head kick by McLauglin.
Newmark is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. McLauglin is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. A jab from Newmark finds it's way through McLauglin's defenses. McLauglin connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Newmark lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. McLauglin uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Newmark. McLauglin throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's five minutes gone in the round. McLauglin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Newmark was well out of range. Poor timing from McLauglin. McLauglin lands with a thumping leg kick.
McLauglin tries to close the distance and clinch but Newmark swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. McLauglin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Newmark manages to avoid it. Newmark getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
McLauglin is rocked! Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Newmark engages and cracks McLauglin with a massive lead left hook - McLauglin tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Newmark is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
