The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Koltsov goes for a takedown in the clinch but Stick prevents it.
A bit of stalling here from Koltsov.

Koltsov jumps guard and drags Stick to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Koltsov can do anything to dispel that myth.
Koltsov is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Stick is controlling him.

Stick is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stick thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Koltsov trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stick drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Stick seems to have locked his on tight now - Koltsov screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Stick, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Wooden Stick!
Wooden Stick looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'It is about being clever - thinking about the angles and levels of the fight.
