The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malik shoots for a double leg takedown but Dillashaw sprawls well. He's pushed Malik's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dillashaw misses with a body shot
and Malik counters with a single leg into guard. Dillashaw didn't expect that.
Malik postures up in Dillashaw's guard and throws a big left but Dillashaw blocks it.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Malik is defended easily by Dillashaw.

Dillashaw throws a lazy right hand but Malik sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Malik jabs Dillashaw to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Malik shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Malik wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
