Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beau Nguyen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bo Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Right Above It as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nguyen fails to land with a series of punches.
Jones cracks Nguyen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Jones lands a head kick. Nguyen smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Jones gets a clinch.
Jones tries to work over Nguyen's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Nguyen has hold of one of Jones's legs. Jones is fighting the takedown attempt but Nguyen gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Jones looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nguyen is one step ahead there.
Nguyen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Nguyen with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Nguyen's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nguyen won't allow Jones to sweep him here.

Nguyen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nguyen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Nguyen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jones is on top in guard.

Jones is fighting to break Nguyen's control of his arms but Nguyen is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Nguyen looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Nguyen has an active guard here but Jones has managed to pass into half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Jones wants to take a breather but Nguyen is having none of it.
Jones might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nguyen haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Nice jab there from Jones.
Nguyen throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nguyen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bo Jones will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Jones moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Nguyen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jones.
Nguyen on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Jones misses with a kick to the body

Nguyen throws a strike but Jones avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Nguyen is looking to work some ground and pound but Jones has wrist control.

Beau Nguyen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Jones stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nguyen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nguyen has control of Jones's left arm, preventing Jones from doing any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Jones fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nguyen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Jones scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

and Nguyen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nguyen.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Nguyen won't allow Jones to sweep him here.

Nguyen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jones's head.
Nguyen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Jones has momentary wrist control but Nguyen slips an elbow through the middle.

Nguyen gets to his feet - Jones follows without any prompting.

and Nguyen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nguyen.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nguyen cracks Jones with a solid left hand.
Nguyen lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Nguyen postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it.

Nguyen is working Jones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Jones is still in real trouble! Can Nguyen finish him?

Nguyen gets to his feet and stands over Jones, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Jones felt that one! Nguyen unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Jones from any more punishment!
