Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Musta Surma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronnie McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDonald has chosen Get Busy Living as his entrance music. Ronnie McDonald is staring across the ring at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Musta Surma! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ronnie McDonald! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDonald tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Surma swivels and escapes. McDonald throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Surma's waist but Surma gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McDonald off to one side. McDonald darts in looking for a takedown but Surma gets double underhooks and turns McDonald into the ropes. Musta Surma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronnie McDonald. A punch combination from Surma misses. McDonald misses with a takedown and Surma counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Surma. Surma lands a hook that snaps the head of McDonald backwards. McDonald avoids a wild elbow strike from Surma. Surma creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. I was talking to Surma's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Surma tries a knee to the head but McDonald blocks it.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Surma throws an elbow but misses. McDonald tries to pull guard but Surma forces him back to his feet, against the ropes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Surma lands an elbow inside. McDonald is looking for a takedown up against the ropes. Surma gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. McDonald is looking to take this one to the mat. McDonald blocks an elbow strike from Surma.
McDonald is trying to drag Surma to the mat but Surma just about manages to keep his footing. He used the ropes to his advantage there. Surma putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has McDonald in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Surma misses with a punch to the body.
McDonald tries to score a body lock takedown but Surma shows good agility there to stay on his feet. A head punch on the inside from McDonald fails to land. Surma has McDonald pressed against the ropes, preventing McDonald from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Surma lands a body shot in the clinch.
McDonald wants to take the fight to the mat but Surma manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. McDonald misses with a hook from the clinch. McDonald has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Surma seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if McDonald can turn it around. Surma looks to throw an elbow but misses. Surma lands an elbow inside. Surma lands an elbow that stopped McDonald in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Ronnie McDonald has been cut. McDonald has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Surma avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. McDonald is trying to pull guard but Surma has him pressed against the ropes. McDonald turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Surma is looking to reverse the position. Surma isn't going anywhere. McDonald tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McDonald has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Surma is not content to let McDonald control the position. Surma defending against the ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Surma is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Surma is refusing to be controlled, as McDonald sits in half guard. McDonald is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Surma sees it coming and defends easily. McDonald throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McDonald takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. McDonald throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. McDonald is working for a submission of some sort.
McDonald missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. McDonald has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Surma is refusing to be controlled, as McDonald sits in half guard. Surma is looking to improve his position.
Surma holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Surma throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
McDonald goes for a double leg but Surma avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Surma continues to drive forward. Surma throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Surma has closed the distance and engaged McDonald in a clinch.
Surma tried to land a shot to the body but connects with McDonald's elbow. McDonald is trying to break the clinch but Surma has him pressed against the ropes. McDonald is trying to break the clinch but Surma is controlling him. Surma missing with knees to the body.
Surma lands a nice elbow from the clinch. With the fighters up against the ropes, Surma throws an elbow but misses. A quick uppercut on the inside from Surma. McDonald has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. McDonald breaks from the clinch.
McDonald shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Surma manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Surma avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Musta Surma dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ronnie McDonald's cut. That's time! Back to the action!

McDonald tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Surma smiles and moves away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McDonald. A little feinted left hand from Surma on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Musta Surma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronnie McDonald. McDonald shoots in and drives through. Surma sprawls well. Surma seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Surma throws a body punch but McDonald moves out of range. McDonald moves out of range of the body kick. Musta Surma is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Surma pushes McDonald up against the ropes in a clinch. McDonald changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Surma fights it off and pushes away nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McDonald shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Surma as he jumps to the side. Surma tries to clinch up. McDonald keeps the fight on the outside. McDonald takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
That's one minute gone in the round. McDonald shoots in for a takedown but Surma shows good takedown defense. Surma is looking to counter the offense by McDonald and move into the clinch. Surma clinches with his opponent.

McDonald is rocked! Surma lands a left hand.
McDonald is still on wobbly legs! Can Surma finish him? Musta Surma has scored more points in the clinch so far. Surma pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns McDonald! Surma unloads with more strikes and McDonald sinks to his knees! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Musta Surma! Musta Surma decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
