Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keiji Kawada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clark comes into the arena with Rent a Wreck blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 27 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jack Clark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Keiji Kawada!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Clark avoids the body shot from Kawada.
Clark with a jab.
Kawada fails with a takedown attempt.
Nice jab there from Clark.
Clark stuffs the takedown.
Donk. Clark catches Kawada right on the button with a cross.
Clark uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kawada has time to react.
Clark connects with the punch.
Clark connects with a looping right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

And Kawada tries to counter it with a takedown but Clark pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Keiji Kawada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Clark looks to score with a jab to the body but Kawada is just out of range.
Kawada throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Clark cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Clark on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Kawada will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kawada misses with a takedown attempt - Clark sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Clark jabs Kawada right on the nose. Kawada blinks but takes it well.
Clark scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kawada doesn't seem bothered though.
Kawada moves forwards but Clark connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kawada closes the distance and clinches up with Clark, looking for a takedown. Kawada pushes Clark against the cage but Clark circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Clark cracks Kawada with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Clark lands a left and a right that send Kawada crashing to the mat, dazed. Clark thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Kawada is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Clark lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kawada is still on wobbly legs! Can Clark finish him?
Kawada shoots in but Clark avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kawada shoots for a double leg takedown but Clark sprawls well. He's pushed Kawada's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kawada seems to have recovered his senses.
Clark scores with a nice right hand.

Kawada darts in and clinches Clark up against the cage.

Clark manages to break the clinch.
Kawada takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Kawada has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Clark throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kawada stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Clark dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kawada tries to clinch there but Clark circles away.

Kawada closes the distance and pushes Clark back into the cage.
Kawada tries to pull guard but Clark won't allow it.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Kawada is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Clark pulls him back up using the underhooks.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Kawada misses with a hook to the ribs.

Kawada manages to break the clinch.

Clark lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kawada circles away quickly and effectively.

Kawada shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Clark lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kawada backwards.
Clark tries a body shot but Kawada blocks it.
Clark throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kawadas head.
Clark takes a knee to the side of the body.
Clark displaying some good clinch control by pressing Kawada up against the cage.
Kawada jumps guard but Clark stands there with Kawada around his waist. Kawada gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kawada tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jack Clark has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keiji Kawada.
Kawada misses with some punches.
Clark lands a shoulder strike.

Clark breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Clark counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Clark dips to his left and cracks Kawada with an uppercut!

Clark digs a right hand underneath Kawada's ribcage. Kawada let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Kawada lands a body punch in the clinch.
Kawada tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Clark avoids it.
Clark stops a takedown attempt from Kawada.
Kawada has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Clark is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Kawada is breathing heavily.
Clark lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Kawada backwards.

Clark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kawada slips a jab and a cross from Clark.

Clark smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Kawada misses with a body punch
and Clark cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Clark scores with a decent looking hook.

Clark lands a big right hand that sends Kawada crashing to the mat! Clark stays standing though and waves Kawada back to his feet!
Kawada get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Kawada stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Clark runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jack Clark!
After winning the bout, Jack Clark thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
