Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chest Rockwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Warner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chest Rockwell has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chest Rockwell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kurt Warner! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rockwell swings away with a leg kick that misses. Warner tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rockwell defends well and Warner ends up having to push Rockwell into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Rockwell misses with a low kick.
Rockwell throws a leg kick that misses. Warner shoots and misses and Warner takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Warner walks into a left hand. A low kick from Rockwell misses so Warner counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Rockwell definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Rockwell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Warner on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rockwell wants to stand up but Warner is controlling him. Rockwell can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Warner controls the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rockwell keeping full guard, as Warner tries to pass. Warner showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Warner drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Warner jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Warner engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Warner won't allow Rockwell to sweep him here. Warner wants to pass the guard but Rockwell is keeping the position. Rockwell wants to stand but Warner is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Warner seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Warner on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Rockwell throws a leg kick which misses Warner's front leg but catches the back leg as Warner tries to avoid it. Warner fails with a takedown attempt. Chest Rockwell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt Warner.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Warner darts in trying to clinch and Rockwell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Warner is rocked! Rockwell scores with a kick to the body.
Warner misses with a body punch
and Rockwell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Warner seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Rockwell shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Warner is backing up but Rockwell catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Warner covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Rockwell Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chest Rockwell!
