Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cedric Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devin Styles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Styles has chosen Wrecking Ball as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cedric Murphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
38 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Devin Styles! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murphy walks into a straight right hand from Styles.
It looks like Cedric Murphy has been cut. A slapping body kick lands there for Styles. Murphy throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It seemed like Styles was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Styles cracks the inside of Murphy's front leg. Styles looks to land a combination. Murphy sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Murphy loads up on a big right hand but Styles slips the punch. Murphy fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Styles misses with a low kick. Styles ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Murphy moves away. Murphy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Styles moves away from the strike by Murphy. Murphy tests Styles's chin there with a solid looking shot. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Styles thuds a left hand into Murphy's body. Styles takes a swing at Murphy's ribcage but misses. Murphy was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Styles getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Styles scores with a punch to the head. Styles tries to land a front kick but Murphy steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Murphy attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. A solid body kick from Styles.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murphy avoids a punch combination nicely.
Murphy wants to clinch up but Styles keeps it at a distance. Styles drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Murphy defends it well. Murphy changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Styles clobbers Murphy with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Styles throws the left hand but Murphy avoids the punch easily. Styles lands a body shot.
Nice defenses there by Murphy. Styles tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Murphy tries a head kick but it misses.
Murphy backing away here, and Styles unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Styles swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Styles looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. A big right from Styles misses. Styles gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Murphy misses with a body kick. Styles takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
This has been an exciting period of action! Murphy on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Styles. Styles obviously looking to wear him down.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Murphy takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Styles comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Styles throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Murphy sees it coming and avoids it easily. Styles misses with a low kick.

Cedric Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Styles misses the jab. A big left from Styles misses. Murphy was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Styles throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Styles takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Murphy checks a leg kick nicely. Styles on the wrong end of a nice hook. Styles ducks right into an uppercut from Murphy. Styles will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Styles throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Murphy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Murphy tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Murphy throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Styles jabbing away but nothing is landing. Murphy appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Murphy misses with a hook. Styles ducked under it nicely. Styles cracks Murphy with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Styles just misses with a punch to the body.

and Styles counters with a thumping low kick. Styles misses with a hook. Murphy ducked under it nicely. Murphy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Styless jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Murphy throws out a loose jab but Styles uses good head movement to avoid it. Murphy fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Styles has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Styles takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Murphy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Styles throws a head kick but Murphy moves out of range.

Murphy slips a jab from Styles. Styles ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Murphy throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

and Styles counters with a lovely straight right hand! The fighters circling - Murphy throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Good exchange - Murphy coming out on top. An inside leg kick from Styles misses. A nice inside leg kick there by Styles. That's going to slow Murphy down. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Styles keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Styles throws a nice outside leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Devin Styles dominated that round. The cut man is working on Cedric Murphy's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Murphy throws a head kick that misses. Styles has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Murphy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Styles throws a big counter head kick but Murphy avoids it with no problem. Murphy on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Styles lands a brutal head kick. Murphy looks out on his feet and Styles throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
