Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roos Pilegr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Zimbardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roos Pilegr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bruce Zimbardo! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zimbardo moves away from the strike by Pilegr. Zimbardo goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Zimbardo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Pilegr definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Zimbardo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Pilegr rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Zimbardo counters with a good low kick that Pilegr was not able to check. Zimbardo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pilegr throws a body shot but no joy. Pilegr lands with a nice body punch. Zimbardo throws a combination that misses and Pilegr counters with a crisp right hand that drops Zimbardo! Pilegr lets Zimbardo back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
It looks like Bruce Zimbardo has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Zimbardo slips under a jab from Pilegr. Pilegr ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Pilegr gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Zimbardo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Roos Pilegr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Zimbardo throws a lazy head kick and Pilegr counters with a crisp one two that drops Zimbardo! Pilegr thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Zimbardo to his feet! Zimbardo is in big trouble!
Zimbardo is rocked! Zimbardo slips under a jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Zimbardo. Pilegr cracks Zimbardo with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Pilegr has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Zimbardo to stand back up! Zimbardo is still on wobbly legs! Can Pilegr finish him? Pilegr throws a poor cross that misses
and Zimbardo finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Zimbardo seems to have recovered his senses. A swing and a miss from Pilegr. Zimbardo takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Zimbardo misses with a wild combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zimbardo ducks right into an uppercut from Pilegr. A decent looking cross lands there for Zimbardo. Pilegr misses the shot to the body. Zimbardo throws a counter combo. Pilegr gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Zimbardo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zimbardo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Pilegr closes the distance and pushes Zimbardo back into the cage. Pilegr misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Pilegr lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Zimbardo backwards. Pilegr gets through Zimbardo's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Pilegr lands with a light punch inside. We've been informed that Zimbardo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Pilegr keeps control of Zimbardo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A short right from Pilegr. Zimbardo wants to break the clinch but can't.

Still in the clinch, Pilegr scores with a nice short uppercut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pilegr lands a shoulder strike. Pilegr lands an uppercut. Still in the clinch, Pilegr scores with a nice short uppercut. A frustrated look appears on Zimbardo's face as he tries to break the clinch. Zimbardo wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Pilegr dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Nice body punch from Pilegr. A bit of stalling here from Pilegr.
Pilegr lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Zimbardo backwards. Pilegr gets through Zimbardo's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Pilegr creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Zimbardo's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Zimbardo drops to his knees and Pilegr pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
