Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack throws a lazy head kick
letting Hughes counter with a right hand.
Hughes scores with a nice right hand.
It looks like Combat Jack has been cut.
Hughes tries a low kick but Jack avoids it.
Jack tries to counter with a takedown but Hughes is quick to defend against it.
Winston Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hughes takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hughes uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Jack takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Hughes misses with an attempted mid kick.
Jack has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jack there as he acknowledges the shot.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jack was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Jack looks to throw the jab but Hughes is out of range.

Hughes has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Jack tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Hughes's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Hughes duly obliges.
Jack ducks under a wild hook from Hughes.
Hughes throws a lazy right hand but Jack sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Jack - that will leave a mark!
Jab, jab by Hughes - just one landing.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Jack lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hughes has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hughes and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Jack pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hughes takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hughes throws the left hand but Jack avoids the punch easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hughes feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jacks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Combat Jack's cut is getting worse.
Jab, jab by Hughes - just one landing.
Jack is rocked!
Hughes cracks Jack's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Jack slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Hughes can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Winston Hughes!
Winston Hughes spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
