Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Wagaman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aris BenJudah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wagaman comes to the cage accompanied by Sick Puppies - . Aris BenJudah will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cameron Wagaman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aris BenJudah!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by BenJudah.
BenJudah looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Wagaman tries to buck BenJudah off but BenJudah is having none of it.

BenJudah wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wagaman, who protects the arm well.
Wagaman can't do much from the bottom here.
Wagaman gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
BenJudah is thwarting Wagaman's attempts to control the position.

Wagaman has one foot on BenJudah's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Wagaman closes the distance and clinches.

Wagaman lands a takedown into guard.

Wagaman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Wagaman fails to land with a series of punches.
BenJudah looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Wagaman.

Wagaman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wagaman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for BenJudah on the ground.
BenJudah tries to bench press Wagaman off him but Wagaman keeps the position.
BenJudah manages to get back to half guard.

BenJudah has a hand on Wagaman's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Wagaman takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
BenJudah is looking to get to half guard.
BenJudah wants to hold on but Wagaman pushes him away.
Wagaman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
BenJudah tries to get back to half guard but can't.

BenJudah is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Wagaman lands a big elbow.
Wagaman avoids the attempt from BenJudah to control.
Wagaman tries to control but BenJudah wriggling away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
BenJudah tries to lock up and control but Wagaman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
BenJudah is wriggling around trying to escape.

BenJudah keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Cameron Wagaman dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


BenJudah closes the distance but Wagaman moves to the side

and Wagaman counters with a nice double leg into guard.

BenJudah tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

BenJudah keeping moving, preventing Wagaman from controlling successfully.

BenJudah has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wagaman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Wagaman tries to free his leg and advance position but BenJudah is retaining full guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

BenJudah shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

BenJudah has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wagaman is proving hard to escape from.
Wagaman controls BenJudah momentarily but BenJudah frees himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wagaman wants to hit a switch here but BenJudah passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Wagaman there!

BenJudah seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Wagaman is holding on tight.
Wagaman is in all sorts of trouble here.
BenJudah avoids the attempt from Wagaman to control.
BenJudah trying to control but Wagaman is having none of it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
BenJudah sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Wagaman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
BenJudah can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wagaman is looking to escape.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


BenJudah misses with a takedown attempt

and Wagaman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in BenJudah's guard now.
BenJudah has momentary wrist control but Wagaman slips an elbow through the middle.
BenJudah is pulling down on Wagaman's head. It's preventing any offense from Wagaman, at least for the moment.
Wagaman wants to pass the guard but BenJudah is keeping the position.
BenJudah trying to control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
BenJudah can't keep his opponent in guard - Wagaman advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
BenJudah trying to control from the bottom.
Wagaman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
BenJudah controlling the position for now.
BenJudah is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
BenJudah tries to kick Wagaman off but Wagaman keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
BenJudah is trying to get back to full guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Wagaman connects with a nice short shot to BenJudah's temple.
Cameron Wagaman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Wagaman wants to work for an arm triangle but BenJudah is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Wagaman rushes BenJudah and presses him up against the cage.
Wagaman tries to pull guard but BenJudah holds him up against the cage and eventually Wagaman drops back down to his feet.
Wagaman lands an elbow inside.
BenJudah is trying to break the clinch but Wagaman has him pressed against the cage.

Wagaman wants the takedown. BenJudah is fighting it off but Wagaman persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in BenJudah's guard against the cage.
BenJudah wants to stand and escape but Wagaman is having none of it.
Wagaman content to stall in guard here.

BenJudah looking for a guillotine here but Wagaman defends easily.

BenJudah controlling the position.
BenJudah keeping full guard, as Wagaman tries to pass.
Wagaman trying to control the position from guard on top but BenJudah is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Wagaman tries to free his leg and advance position but BenJudah is retaining full guard.
BenJudah looking to control.
BenJudah looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wagaman is one step ahead there.
Wagaman wants to control from the top but BenJudah keeps moving.
Aris BenJudah has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Cameron Wagaman is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
BenJudah throws a right and a left that Wagaman avoids nicely.

And that's the end of the fight!
Cameron Wagaman showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Wagaman has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
