The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akiyama throws a leg kick but Jackson sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Jackson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Akiyama. Jackson does a little dance to reset his feet.

Jackson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Akiyama is looking to take this one to the mat.
Akiyama jumps guard but Jackson stands there with Akiyama around his waist. Akiyama gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Akiyama tries to keep at a distance but Jackson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Jackson stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Akiyama goes for a takedown attempt but Jackson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Jackson missing with a left hand there. Akiyama was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jackson checks a leg kick.

Akiyama tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jackson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Jackson tried to counter with a leg kick but Akiyama avoided it.
Akira Akiyama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


That has opened up Akira Akiyama's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Akira Akiyama's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Jackson lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
