Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Darren Martin!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Francis DeMontford and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Birbiglia sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Martin somewhat.
Birbiglia was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Birbiglia shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Martin pinned against the cage. Martin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Birbiglia gets a takedown into half guard.
Martin tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Birbiglia manages to move to mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Birbiglia cracks Martin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Birbiglia throws some wild stikes that Martin manages to avoid easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Birbiglia blocks Martin's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Birbiglia cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Martin tries to hold on but Birbiglia pushes him away.
We've been hearing that Birbiglia has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Martin tries to lock up and control but Birbiglia gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
