Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bob Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haatim Zaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Billy Bob Daniels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Haatim Zaki!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Zaki counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Daniels is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Zaki lands a head kick. Daniels smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Zaki looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Daniels tries to clinch up.
A big left from Daniels misses.
Zaki moves out of range of the strikes.
Zaki throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Zaki lands a head kick. Daniels smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Zaki scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Zaki uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Daniels.

Zaki lands with a kick to the temple. Daniels shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A solid leg kick lands there for Zaki.
Zaki lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Billy Bob Daniels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fighters circling - Daniels throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Zaki throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Daniels's head.
Daniels misses with an uppercut. Zaki saw that one coming.

Zaki ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Daniels feints and as Zaki raises his hands in defense, Daniels changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Zaki is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Zaki is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Zaki has momentary wrist control but Daniels slips an elbow through the middle.

Daniels has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Zaki can do anything to dispel that myth.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zaki is on top in guard.

Daniels lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Zaki controls Daniels momentarily but Daniels frees himself.
Daniels passes Zaki's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Zaki has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Daniels is working away from the top position though.
Daniels slows the pace down in half guard.
Daniels lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Daniels lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Zaki has hold of Daniels's hands but Daniels slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Zaki wants to improve his position but Daniels is controlling well.
Daniels is nestled in close to Zaki, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Daniels connects with a nice short shot to Zaki's temple.

Zaki wants to get back to full guard.

Zaki is trying to control but can't.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Daniels in particular looking to stall.
Daniels seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Daniels takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Daniels lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Daniels is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Zaki is looking for a sweep. Daniels is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Billy Bob Daniels will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Daniels throws a hook but Zaki blocks it.
Zaki scores with a nice body kick.
Daniels sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Zaki throws a nice head kick!
Daniels throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Zaki counters with a good, hard body kick but Daniels shrugs it off.

Zaki lands a big head kick that sends Daniels tumbling to the mat! Zaki takes a step backwards and waves Daniels back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Daniels is rocked!


It looks like Billy Bob Daniels has been cut.
Daniels is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Zaki's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Daniels throws a right and a left that both miss.
Zaki has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Daniels misses with an uppercut
and Zaki makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Daniels really felt that one!

Daniels gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Oh Daniels is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Zaki fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Zaki lands with a right and another and another! Daniels is in big trouble! Zaki lands again and this time it's lights out for Daniels! A quality knockout there for Zaki.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:08 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Haatim Zaki!
After the fight, Haatim Zaki was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
