Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Curtis Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by I Get Money. Hunt has chosen Wildside- Motley Crue as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Curtis Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Hunt!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Steve Montenegro and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson shoots in but no luck this time.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hunt.

Jackson moves into the clinch.

Jackson has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hunt is trying to keep an underhook but Jackson manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Hunt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hunt makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hunt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Despite being in the dominant position, Mike Hunt just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Jackson feints and as Hunt raises his hands in defense, Jackson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hunt tries to bum rush Jackson with a series of wild strikes but Jackson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Horrible takedown by Hunt or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson which made him look bad.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hunt paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That was a close round but I would say that Curtis Jackson will probably get the nod.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Jackson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hunt - the referee stops the clock and Jackson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hunt. Jackson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

and Jackson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Hunt has Jackson pulled in close to control his posture.
Hunt manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackson manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hunt seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Jackson is fighting off a takedown attempt but Hunt is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jackson to the mat. Jackson regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Mike Hunt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hunt has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
