The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paulsen Ambrosius and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newport misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gautier.
Gautier takes one to the side of the head.
Gautier's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Newport connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gautier scrambles back to his feet.
Newport scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Gautier wants to land a leg kick but Newport is out of range.
Newport takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Gautier pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Newport is looking to chop away at Gautier's legs.
Newport connects with a jab.
Newport throws a hook to the side of Gautier's head but Gautier sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Pierre Gautier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Newport connects with a leg kick. Gautier looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Newport lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Gautier takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Newport has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Some bone on bone action there as Gautier checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Oh Gautier is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Newport lands a slapping body shot.
Newport ducks under a wild hook from Gautier.

Newport stuns Gautier with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Newport sends Gautier crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Newport is motioning to the referee to let Gautier up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Newport moves in close and cracks Gautier with a massive right hand! Gautier, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Newport!

Aaron Newport really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Spartan Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
