Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between DeShawn Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brick Tamland (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes into the arena with Eazy e- real mother fuckin gs blaring out of the sound system. Tamland has chosen Afternoon Delight as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brick Tamland!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tamland swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Johnson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Tamland shoots and misses
and Johnson counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Tamland comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Johnson throws a body punch but Tamland moves out of range.
Johnson just misses with a punch to the body.
Tamland lands a leg kick that knocks Johnson off balance momentarily.
Johnson tries to work over Tamland's front leg with a kick but Tamland checks it.
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Tamland.
As Tamland looks to move away, Johnson throws a big counter combo but Tamland just gets out of the way.
Tamland slips a jab from Johnson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tamland cracks Johnson with a good jab.
Johnson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Johnson tries to work over Tamland's front leg with a kick but Tamland checks it.
Tamland throws out a counter right but Johnson avoids it with no problem.
Johnson throws a hook but Tamland avoids it easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Johnson misses with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Johnson missing with a left hand there. Tamland was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Johnson misses with a wild body shot.
Tamland scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Johnson doesn't seem bothered though.
Tamland throws a low kick but Johnson avoids it.
Tamland clinches up with Johnson and pushes him back against the cage.
I was talking to Johnson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Tamland fails to pull guard.
Johnson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Johnson misses with a hook from the clinch.
Tamland pulls Johnson into guard.
Tamland is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Johnson frees his head nicely. Oh but Tamland has switched to an armbar! Johnson is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
