Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Broderick Huffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Cardona (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huffman looking to score a takedown here. Cardona is defending well but Huffman drives through and ends up in Cardona's guard.
Huffman trying to control but Cardona is working from the bottom.
Huffman missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Huffman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Huffman.
Cardona stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cardona wants it to stay on the feet.
Cardona leaves Huffman with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Huffman shoots in looking for a takedown. Cardona tries to sprawl out of it but Huffman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cardona manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Huffman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cardona pinned against the cage. Cardona gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Cardona tries to keep at a distance but Huffman has taken the fight into the clinch.
Cardona breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Huffman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Cardona as he jumps to the side.

Huffman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Cardona throws a leg kick which misses Huffman's front leg but catches the back leg as Huffman tries to avoid it.

Cardona slaps away a takedown attempt from Huffman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cardona feints and as Huffman raises his hands in defense, Cardona changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Huffman wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Cardona manages to pass to side control.

Huffman is looking for a sweep. Cardona is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Cardona is taking a breather. Huffman says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Huffman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cardona swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Cardona counters with a shoot takedown. Huffman fights it but they end up in guard.
Cardona is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Huffman looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cardona has picked Huffman up and slammed him! Huffman can't keep hold of the triangle and Cardona manages to pass to side control!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Huffman manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Cardona's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Cardona fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Huffman has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Huffman tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cardona manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
