3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steven Stifler! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stifler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Steven Stifler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hedwig keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stifler. Stifler plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Hedwig displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Stifler throws out the jab. Stifler misses with a hook. Hedwig ducked under it nicely. A jab from Stifler misses. Stifler tries to keep at a distance but Hedwig has taken the fight into the clinch. Hedwig lands an elbow that stopped Stifler in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Steven Stifler has been cut. A short body shot lands from Stifler as the two fighters clinch.
Stifler manages to break the clinch.
Stifler checks a leg kick. Hedwig lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Hedwig avoids the head kick by Stifler.
Stifler looks gassed! Hedwig fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Stifler, pushing him back against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stifler is trying to break free. Stifler takes an elbow to the temple. Stalling in the clinch from Hedwig.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hedwig connects with a nasty looking knee right to Stifler's face.
That has opened up Steven Stifler's cut even more. Hedwig creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Stifler's defenses. A head punch blocked on the inside by Hedwig. Hedwig connects with a knee to the head.
Stifler is rocked! Stifler takes an elbow to the forehead. Stifler is still on wobbly legs! Can Hedwig finish him?
The cut above Steven Stifler's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Stifler takes a knee right on the jaw!
Hedwig creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Stifler! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Hedwig.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan Hedwig!
